László Kőszeghy (PhD 2025) As a graduate of both the one-year MA and PhD programs in CEU’s Philosophy Department, I have experienced how doing philosophy, among much else, fosters one’s ability to become faster, more precise, honest and creative in relentlessly breaking concepts into their building blocks, separating them from words, and reassembling them in new ways: to push through confusion and complexity and build new concepts. It also develops the attention and patience required for such tasks and for listening to, and understanding the thought processes of, others. |
