Akos Polgardi (MA 2011)

I’m a graphic designer and typographer running my own studio since 2013. I was born in 1983, grew up in Balatonfüred, went to high school in Veszprém, have degrees from the University of Szeged and CEU (both philosophy).

However, I left the profession to study and practice graphic design and have been doing this for the last 10 years.

I founded the SUBMACHINE graphic design collective with my friend Ági Rubik and we work mostly on wayfinding & signage, editorial design and branding projects. I teach irregularly at METU’s typography programme and MOME’s Data Visualization course. I founded the Hungarian Book Design prize last year.
