The Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) is celebrating the 200th anniversary of its foundation this year. Established in 1825, the Academy has long been dedicated to cultivating and supporting Hungarian scientific life, fostering research excellence, and promoting scientific values in society. As one of Hungary’s most prestigious academic institutions, HAS recognizes outstanding scholars through election to its membership tiers: corresponding, full, and external members — the latter category reserved for Hungarian researchers working abroad.

We are happy to announce the winners of the 2025 Raza Khan Prize.


After due consideration, the committee decided to award the prize to Andrés Rubio Krohne (1-yr MA) for his paper "Are Beliefs Deep?" and to Mohammadjavad Hajialikhani (2-yr MA) for his paper "Purity Against Property Dualism."

Our PhD alumnus László Kőszeghy awarded role at the IB's Diploma Program

Our recent alumnus, László Kőszeghy (PhD 2025), is the curriculum manager of the philosophy, classical languages, and (as part of a team) theory of knowledge courses of the International Baccalaureate’s Diploma Program.

Managing curriculum reviews at the IB is a future-oriented, research-based and collaborative process, relying on feedback from educators, students, alumni, and experts, and aimed at producing guides and support materials which gives students the agency to take ownership of their own learning, flourish and create a more peaceful world.
