Zsolt Kapelner receives Outstanding Academic Achievement Award

We are very proud to announce that Zsolt Kapelner received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for this academic year.

The Outstanding Academic Achievement Award is given to graduating Master's students from each department who have achieved the highest GPA (grade point average) based on their coursework performance.

Establishing Topics in the Philosophy of the Humanities and Social Sciences

The Department was successful in an application to the second round of the Humanities Initiative. Maria Kronfeldner was awarded a grant for the project, Establishing Topics in the Philosophy of the Humanities and Social Sciences (ToPHSS), as a new research and teaching focus at CEU. The project aims to cross disciplinary boundaries between the humanities and social sciences.

Matthew Baxendale the new editor-in-chief of PULSE

Matthew Baxendale, our doctoral student, has been appointed as editor-in-chief of PULSE, the CEU Graduate Journal of History, Sociology & Philosophy of Science. Matthew has acted as one of the editors of the recent, 3rd issue of PULSE, which also contains articles of two of our students, Melvin Freitas and Zsolt Kapelner.
