Natalie Ashton's research concerns the effects of oppression and power on epistemic justification, predominantly exploring the best way to characterise and combine different aspects of two views known as feminist standpoint theory and hinge epistemology. She is increasingly interested the practical implications of these views, such as what their insights about epistemic justification tell us about how to organise institutions which produce and disseminate knowledge.
The event will be an informal interview by Jamie Elliott and Valentina Martinis to Natalie, with the opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
