PhD Award Recipients

The PhD awards recognize outstanding performance in research in the case of advanced students, and in coursework and comprehensive exams in the case of first year students. The awardees have been selected by the University Doctoral Committee.  

Congratulations to Denis Kazankov and Emanuele Tullio who received the 2025 Advanced PhD Award, and to Balint Bekefi and Swithin Thomas who split the 2025 First-Year PhD Award.

And yet another prize! Daniel Kodaj won the 2014 Religious Studies Postgraduate Essay Prize (jointly with Ryan Davis (Harvard)) with his essay 'The problem of religious evil'. The paper will be published in the December 2014 issue of Religious Studies. Warm congratulations, Dani!
